12 April 2016 Reproduction tables – simple, wooden and cheap

Our reproduction tables are hand-made, of wooden planks. The bottom of the table is draped with a thick plastic mesh (small openings), and an electric fence is installed in the top part of the table, along its perimeter. Feedstock panels are placed within the top part, with hatching cups located between the panels.

We wash the tables by sprinkling them with lukewarm water. The water also cleans the snails of contaminations. All excrements and residues of feedstock fall through the mesh and are retained on the floor. The floor is then washed using pressurised water.

This is the simplest and easiest method of maintaining cleanliness in the reproduction room.
